Minds On The Money

Money may seem to make the world go round, but we all the know the consequences of handling our money poorly. Kids are bombarded everyday with images and adverts of things that they want, so making sure that they understand that wanting doesn’t equate to getting is important.

With Pora Ora, children earn Roobles by playing educational games, so as they improve and get better, their Pora Ora bank accounts also fill up. If they want new clothes, the ever so coveted magic 8 ball or perhaps a super cool magic potion, then they have to save up.

This is when good numeracy skills come into play. To buy something, the children have use the exact amount of money in change. If they can’t do this, they forfeit their discount. Children therefore have to manage their Roobles carefully!

Those with a business savvy minds can make Roobles by selling their items or selling their harvested plants and fruits.

Children learn about money and shopping in a friendly environment.
